RUSTON, La - (5/2/18) -- Nicholas Clark and Marlon Watts are officially business majors at Louisiana Tech but their inner businessman has been around for quite some time. 

From selling candy door-to-door to now selling apparel, Nicholas Clark and Marlon Watts became lifelong business partners and best friend with a common goal.

After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, the two best friends found each other and they continued their business endeavors at Louisiana Tech where they hope to continue to see their company grow.

Clark and Watts started the brand as a way to make money but quickly found out it became more than that.

"We saw that the brand actually was touching more than us. It was touching our community which we come from too. When we got to college, we took it a little more serious," says Clark.

They say what makes their apparel stand out from other clothing lines are the bright colors within a unique graphics and logo.

Ccoming up with a design to make a logo, we were like 'we want it to look designery' and we want people to feel like they're a part of something real luxurious," says Watts.

What's the secret to their success so far? Their friendship.

"Honestly, you always want to get in business with somebody you can trust, somebody you can talk to, somebody you feel like is going to be your friend," says Watts.

So the two guys from new orleans living and going to school in Ruston have some big plans and a plan to make them reality.

"Where do y'all see yourselves going from here? We the next nike."
